| In the last decade, basketball, which is very popular in Arad since '50s, brought to the city many great successes and trophies. Best results were obtained in 2000/2001 season when both Arad teams- BC ICIM women team and West Petrom men team- became national champions. Arad is now the most important basketball centre from Romania and the main provider of players for the national basketball teams. | ||
